The crossover tee is a type of tee and also a kind of prefabricated direct-buried insulated pipe fitting. It is designed with an enlarged branch pipe size and structure to avoid adjacent parallel pipelines. It consists of a straight tee pipe and a branch tee pipe integrated into one unit. Both ends of the straight tee pipe have guiding angles, and the branch tee pipe's end has a flange. The flange face includes mounting holes, a water sealing line, and an arc groove. Reinforcing ribs are set at the connection between the flange and the branch tee pipe. This fitting is low-cost and high-strength, suitable for water supply, drainage, agricultural irrigation, drip irrigation, chemical applications, and can also be used in electrical wiring and cable fields for pipeline connection and branching.

The crossover tee is used to raise the branch pipe elevation, cross over pipelines or obstacles, and is generally used in conjunction with planar tees and Z-type crossover pipes. The crossover tee is reinforced according to different pipe diameters. When the applicable pressure reaches PN2.5, seamless steel pipes can be directly connected. For welded steel pipes, reinforcement should be considered, generally using a single rib reinforcement. The diameter of the reinforcing rib is 1.5 times the wall thickness of the branch tee pipe.
