Product Introduction
Flange-connected plastic-coated composite steel pipes are made by first welding flanges to both ends of the steel pipe, then performing internal and external shot blasting for rust removal, followed by spraying epoxy resin powder inside and outside. Water supply plastic-coated steel pipes are suitable for working environments ranging from -30°C to 120°C. Compared with other metal pipes, plastic pipes, and composite pipes, they combine the characteristics of various pipes, possessing the strength of steel pipes as well as the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and low fluid resistance of plastic pipes. They are a safe, hygienic, high-strength, and well-bonded green pipeline.
Flange-connected plastic-coated composite steel pipes greatly outperform other pipes such as plastic-lined, rubber-lined, and hot-dip galvanized pipes in terms of service life, applicable range, rigidity, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, and anti-rust scaling. Plastic-coated steel pipes are mainly divided into two types: internally coated and coated both inside and outside. The coating materials usually use epoxy resin and polyethylene, and can also be customized according to customer requirements. Plastic-coated steel pipes effectively address the production and installation defects of previous steel-plastic composite pipes and have received high praise and recognition from many customers. Clear regulations have been made for plastic-coated steel pipe fittings: the cross-section of steel-plastic composite pipes must not come into contact with water; non-plastic-coated fittings must not replace plastic-coated fittings; fittings coated inside malleable cast iron pipes must not be used; steel flanges with convex neck threads must have injection-molded interfaces; special transition pieces must be used for threaded connections with valves and water supply valves; and special rubber seals must be used for grooved connections. The sealing components used for grooved connections of plastic-coated composite steel pipes differ from those used for general non-coated steel pipes. The rubber seals used for grooved connections of plastic-coated composite steel pipes not only seal the joints between steel pipes but also isolate the cross-section of the plastic-coated composite steel pipe from water contact, achieving corrosion resistance. However, in actual engineering construction, neither the connections between pipes nor the connections between valves and pipes use plastic-coated fittings matched with plastic-coated steel pipes; instead, general grooved fittings are used.
